Gillette Stadium, serving as Boston Stadium, is New Englandās premier sports, entertainment, and event venue, highlighted by a $250 million renovation completed during the 2023 NFL season — the largest since its 2002 opening. The upgrades introduced a striking 22-story lighthouse rising above the north end zone, featuring a 360-degree observation deck known as the Lookout that offers panoramic views of the stadium and surrounding region, including the Boston and Providence skylines.

The project also added the largest outdoor curved-radius videoboard in sports, new gathering spaces such as the DraftKings Sports Zone and Cross Insurance Club, expanded luxury suites, upgraded concessions, increased restroom capacity, and enhanced stadium-wide connectivity. Inspired by New Englandās rich maritime heritage — home to more than 160 historic lighthouses, including Boston Light, the nationās oldest continually used lighthouse — the structure serves as an iconic architectural landmark and experiential attraction open on both event and select non-event days. The Lighthouse Lantern Room, an intimate indoor venue connected to the observation deck, is available for private events and can be paired with the adjacent G-P Atrium.
