Autograph Of The Week: Jose Canseco
On August 6, 1988, Oakland Athletics outfielder Jose Canseco became the eleventh player in major league history to hit thirty home runs and steal thirty bases during a season. Canseco, with thirty-one home runs, stole second base with one out during the ninth inning for his thirtieth as the A's edged the Seattle Mariners 5 - 4.

Jose Canseco was the first player from Oakland to join the thirty-thirty club and the first player in Major League history to have a forty-forty season!
In 1986 Jose Canseco won the Rookie of the Year Award, during this season, he won the Most Valuable Player Award unanimously, and on May 26, 1993, he was hit on the head with a ball that bounced out of the park for a home run!
